Battle Watch Specialist, Capstone Corporation, Various Locations

The Battle Watch Specialist provides situational awareness and operational support to the Battle Watch Supervisor, Battle Watch Captain, Current Operations Officer and the Operations Officer.

Responsibilities include monitoring world-wide events that may impact on the Navy shore installations enterprise, including personnel and resources; collecting information; producing reports and briefings; and distributing information to activities with a need to know; monitoring, drafting, and releasing Defense message system traffic; assists in conducting analysis and developing courses of action to support operational requirements; and assists in supporting deliberate and crisis action planning for the Navy Regional Commander. The Battle Watch Specialist will, as necessary or at the direction of the Battle Watch Supervisor, assist in the coordination with or ensure coordination with other DoD Services and various Federal, international, local governmental and nongovernment agencies. This position requires personnel to work shift work (12 hour shifts) 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Retired or Reserve Component NCO desired (E-5 or E-6 Desired)

– MUST HAVE MILITARY WATCH EXPERIENCE

– Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree or 5+ years Military experience.

– Must have experience in plans and operations.

– Must have strong written and oral skills and be able to present sensitive data to senior military leaders in a succinct manner.

– Must be able to perform duties independently, and be a self starter with intuitive skills to analyze data and draw valid conclusions from multiple information sources.

– Must have good Microsoft office skills.

– Must have at least an interim secret clearance

CNIC OCONUS REGCOM Task Lead, Capstone Corporation, Various Locations

Serves as the Operations Manager for the Regional Operations Center, and is Capstone’s site interface with the customer.

The Site Lead will provide oversight and management for the entire Regional Operations Center which entails but is not limited to, Capstone Contractor Battle Watch teams and scheduling, all hardware and associated maintenance issues, and assisting in conflict resolution between the customer and Capstone. The Site Lead will coordinate with the Regional Command’s Training Officer in the development and implementation, and sustainment of the Battle Watch training program and oversee watch-stander training and certification to ensure that all watch-standers are proficient on all SOPs, equipment and other requirements. Provides operational support to Regional Commander’s Contingency and Crisis Action Planning activities to include Contingency plan review and development, Course of Action development and selection, and orders development. The Site Lead will, in coordination with the Regional Commander’s representatives, interface with applicable Federal and Local Governmental agencies to ensure any required interagency communication and coordination requirements are identified and implemented.

Officer desired (O-5 or O-6 Desired)

– Must have experience in plans and operations.

Serve as the senior Battle Watch team member providing oversight for the Battle Watch team, providing situational awareness and operational support to the Battle Watch Captain, Current Operations Officer and the Operations Officer.
