Under direction of the Senior Engineer, this position will be responsible for SCI Video Teleconferencing (VTC) setup, training and monitoring at the Warrior Preparation Center Responsibilities include:

Coordinate installation and operation of VTC with HQ USAFE/A2

Provide daily SCI VTC monitoring

Provide 24×7 VTC support as needed with prior notification

Provide weekend and after hours support as required

Duties will consist of opening the facility when required, turning on the equipment, performing communications checks and verification of all required functionality (PPT slides, etc.), monitoring the actual VTC in a standby support mode and shutting down equipment and closing the facility when required.

Coordinate with the USAFE VTC schedulers and maintain a current listing of all VTCs scheduled within the USAFE SCI VTC enterprise.

Provide training to users in support of 24×7 operations and exercises.

Perform Communications Security (COMSEC) user duties as required.

The National Biodefense Analysis & Countermeasures Center (NBACC) is the flagship national laboratory of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). NBACC is managed by the Battelle National Biodefense Institute (BNBI), which is a new start-up company and wholly-owned subsidiary of the Battelle Memorial Institute. NBACC provides the nation with the scientific basis for awareness of biological threats and bioforensic analysis to support attribution of their use against the American public.

Works closely with the BNBIs Leadership Team to ensure that NBACC documents accurately reflect adherence to the organizations mission, strategy, and values. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree (or equivalent) preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, Instructional Development, or related field. Minimum two years of full-time, professional experience in editing and word processing (scientific, engineering, information technology fields preferred). Proficient in MS Word and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel. Experience in or aptitude/willingness to develop skills in formatting (documents, publications, web-based communications, etc.) highly desirable. Must be able to proofread own work, interpret edits from other staff and clients, and produce documents with minimal errors. Must have exceptional command of grammar and composition, as well as excellent inter- and intra-organizational skills and oral/written communication capabilities candidate will demonstrate acute attention to detail, be able to multi-task and remain flexible, and be able to work independently as well as cooperatively with other editors, formatters, employees, clients, and agencies.
