Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the Enterprise Systems and Technology Directorate, Imagery Programs Division. This group includes managers and staff located in Chantilly, VA. and other locations. The primary duties focus on the effective administration of a large and diverse organization. This would include generating project manhour, travel, and overhead reports from SAP accounting system; preparing, processing and tracking purchase requisitions; making and tracking travel arrangements and associated expense reporting; handling visit requests; electronic timecard processing and auditing; arranging meetings; coordinating conference room and VTC facilities; preparing correspondence; producing briefing charts; responding to standard telephone, facsimile and mail including voice and electronic mail transactions. Additional responsibilities include coordination of many of these activities with the Division front office and other corporate organizations. There is also a requirement to provide occasional backup and assistance to other Division secretaries based on absences and workload overflows. This position involves frequent interaction with other Aerospace offices and with customers. This position is in Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications

The Sr. Office Assistant position requires eight or more years of progressively more responsible experience working in the administrative field or a related field (minimum of six years experience required for Office Assistant Position). Well-developed electronic office skills are required. Strong skills with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Lotus Notes computer applications are highly desirable. Experience with SAP accounting systems is highly desirable. A willingness to learn and use new applications is required. Requires an ability to prioritize workload; work effectively under pressure of schedule deadlines; and respond well to last minute changes. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills are required. Must perform well in both individual and team settings, and work effectively with staff, customer and management personnel. Current SBI required or ability to obtain one.
