The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association, an international trade

association headquartered in Fairfax City, VA, seeks an experienced

Meeting Planner to manage and grow our annual exposition and convention,

The primary responsibility of the Senior Meeting Planner is the overall

management and strategic growth of SGIA's annual exposition and

convention. Responsibilities will include soliciting RFP's and

negotiating contracts for convention center and hotel facilities and

services (exposition floor requirements, meeting rooms, hotel room

blocks, food and beverage orders, etc.) site selection, coordination and

oversight of all conference vendors including attendee registration,

AV/computer rental, entertainers and speakers, etc. Also responsible for

the annual awards banquet, and other networking events at the annual

exposition and at other smaller events.

SGIA leverages information technology to enhance customer service. This

job opening requires “cutting edge” experience in trade show software

and general computer skills.

This person will be responsible for the development and management of

the Convention and Meetings department budget and will provide the

management team and staff with timely Convention statistical reports.

This individual maybe responsible for the supervision and career

development of staff in the Convention and Meetings department. The
