My own experience has taught me that one of the very best ways to stand out from your competition is to join IABC.
The International Association of Business Communicators was founded in 1970 and today is a vibrant community of professionals in over 80 countries that offers many benefits for members. I first became active in the Washington, DC metro chapter of IABC. That is where I met Ned Lundquist, who runs Ned’s Job of the Week. Today I am on the board of the IABC Las Vegas chapter.
Your local IABC chapter is a great place to network with communication professionals like yourself. I recommend that you locate an IABC chapter near you and reach out to one of the members.
