Around five robbers armed with guns in a speed boat approached and attempted to board a bulk carrier underway. The 2/O increased speed and commenced evasive manoeuvres. Seeing the ship moving away the robbers opened fire towards the bridge causing damage to the superstructure. All crew safe.

Three robbers boarded an anchored bulk carrier via the anchor chain. Duty crew on routine rounds noticed the robbers, raised the alarm and crew mustered. Seeing the alerted crew the robbers escaped. A search was carried out and nothing found stolen. Incident reported to port control.
