Unnoticed, robbers boarded a berthed container vessel, broke into engine room, stole engine spares and escaped. The robbery was noticed by duty crew on routine security rounds.

A container vessel noticed a suspicious vessel approaching at high speed. Alarm raised, speed increased and non-essential persons mustered in the citadel as a precaution. After some time the suspicious skiff was seen reducing speed and moving away.

While underway, a fishing vessel was approached, and fired upon and boarded by pirates in a small craft. The pirates stole crew personal belongings, kidnapped five crews and escaped. Ghanaian Navy was notified and a patrol boat was dispatched to escort the fishing vessel back to Tema.
