Position description:
PRA Destination Management is a full-service DMC working with clients
for over 28 years nationally. Our employees are innovative, caring,
ethical, creative and dedicated professionals. We are looking for a
National Sales Manager to join our San Francisco team. This position is
responsible for achieving the Performance Team Sales and Gross Profit
Objectives by selling PRA's outstanding service to corporate and
association clients. The National Sales Manager is responsible for
developing a client base, managing Performance Teams of Account and
Operations Managers and designing events.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
– Develop, manage and sell to a client base through leads from assigned
markets, hoteliers, cold calls, referrals, etc.
– Oversee team of Account Managers to ensure completion of program
development and other team projects.
– Ensure that all proposals and other sales correspondence is correct,
proofed, and meets clients' needs and budgets.
– Finalize and “close” program contracts with clients, arranging for
deposits and signed program services agreements.
– Qualify leads and develop program ideas for leads.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate should possess strong organizational abilities,
excellent sales and client service skills, and leadership skills. The
National Sales Manager is an integral part of our successful and
creative Performance Team. Our successful candidate must have at least
four or more years experience in sales, preferably in destination
management, incentive travel, event management or related field. A
college degree in Business Management, Marketing or related degree is
helpful. Must have knowledge of program design and development, from
inception through contract. Proven ability to meet sales goals
consistently through lead development, cold calling and client
development.
Must be familiar with and live in the San Francisco Bay Area. No
relocation.

The College Events Manager oversees all facets of presidential and
college-wide events-from graduation to groundbreakings, from luncheons
to literary festivals. As part of TCC's larger branding, marketing, and
community outreach program, the College Events Manager will plan,
coordinate, implement, and evaluate college-wide events and special
community events that promote the image of Tidewater Community College.
From the small Presidential luncheon for visiting dignitaries to two
graduation exercises yearly, each with more than 1,000 graduates and
6,500 guests, the College Events Manager is responsible for executing
world-class events that reflect the image of one of the foremost
community colleges in the nation.
Job Requirements
Knowledge of effective events principles and techniques. Fully
knowledgeable and proficient in the execution of college etiquette,
protocol and conventional social amenities. Competent in the core skills
of event planning and facilitation. Demonstrated ability to communicate
effectively, orally and written, to diverse public and college
audiences. Able to recruit, retain and reward core team of employee
volunteers. Proficient in the management of complex events and special
projects. Work effectively in a team setting. Able to work independently
and to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Proficient in the use
of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.
Driver's license in good standing. Preferred qualifications: Graduation
from an accredited college or university with degree in events
management, communications, marketing, public relations or related
field.
