Under the direction of the Manager, Corporate Recruiting, the Senior Corporate Recruiter sources, identifies, and screens candidates for senior level and professional Alion openings, conducts preliminary interviews of qualified candidates, and presents qualified candidates to hiring management, insuring that Alion has access and identification of candidates of a caliber to meet Alion¿s and client¿s needs, and contribute to the growth and profitability of Alion, in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The Senior Recruiter performs the Corporate recruiting function for senior level and professional openings, and for skill sets and qualifications that are difficult to find and attract, and provides day to day consultation with line management on all related issues. The Senior Recruiter executes Corporate recruiting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Senior Corporate recruiter assumes a role in the recommendation of policies and procedures related to his/her areas of responsibility for recruiting. The Senior Recruiter reports to the Manager, Corporate Recruiting, along with other Corporate Recruiters.

Implements Corporate recruiting strategy and policies to effectively meet Corporate strategic goals and objectives.

Develops and utilizes cost and time effective methods of sourcing to identify and establish contact with candidates meeting the high quality background and knowledge necessary to meet Alion¿s, and its clients¿ needs.

Assists line management in determining their staffing needs, and, along with the Sector/Group/Regional Human Resources Generalists, recruits, selects, and presents qualified candidates for hire into senior level and professional positions.

Assists Corporate Benefits in the administration and provision of Corporate benefits plans for new employees, insuring that benefits are supplied and communicated to eligible employees.

Ensures the ongoing maintenance of an effective and accurate payroll and HRIS for all new employees that complies with all laws and regulations, pays employees accurately and timely, and transfers to other financial systems necessary data for accurate and timely accounting and billing, maintains an accurate data base for the provision of benefits.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, and at least 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in the Human Resources field. Candidate must have strong recruiting skills, the ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

After the candidate is cleared for classified access at the operating level of the primary TMC facility, additional duties supporting and safeguarding of sensitive material may be required.

This position also serves as the Senior ITT Employee Liaison for the ITT Department Manager supporting the JRDC contract. The candidate will be required to perform duties as directed by the Department or Deputy Department Manager in support of all ITT employees assigned to the JRDC contract.

Experience Requirements:

The incumbent must be a detailed-oriented person with ability to work independently, with little or no direct supervision. Initiative is a must! Teamwork, interpretation of technical and non technical instructions is an integral part of the duties. The incumbent must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to follow established processes and procedures. The individual must be able to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and meet firm delivery schedules. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel are a must. Knowledge of Microsoft Project and FrameMaker 7 are a plus. The incumbent will be required to learn and understand the basic mission of the Missile Defense Agency and how the TMC fits into MDA's structure.
