Marketing Strategist, Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY

In this role, you will be responsible for defining Mount Sinai’s strategic opportunities, overseeing the development of marketing plans to advance the business objectives of an extensive array of health care services and specialty areas. You will create models and tools to track and predict market opportunities and direct research activities to generate in-depth analysis; develop strategic services and marketing analytics to identify key trends and translate them into new/expanded business offerings; supervise the development, retrieval and use of market information on current and future markets; and track competitor performance and updates.

Requires a Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred, as well as a minimum of ten years experience in health care marketing, advertising, and strategic planning and development in a hospital or health care setting. Must have the ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex strategic initiatives. Strong communication skills along with experience leading others and working with outside agencies essential.

Press Director, Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY

As a visionary leader, you will direct all press relations for The Mount Sinai Medical Center, which includes The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. The Director will formulate, implement, and administer press strategy to heighten the visibility of Mount Sinai and strengthen its reputation as preeminent in the areas of medicine, education, and scientific research. Leading a team that includes a Press Secretary and several Press Officers, the Director will proactively position individual departments, physicians, programs, and services to elevate their reputation among key stakeholders and consumer markets locally, nationally and globally. You will be responsible for building and maintaining press relationships and managing news inquiries and issues, including directing communications during major events and crises. The Director will also oversee the production of gathering and creating unique content for the Web and other digital platforms.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree, Master's degree preferred, along with a minimum of 15 years’ solid experience in communications, specifically press relations. Working knowledge of the health care industry, science or biomedical issues is required. Must have an established track record of having developed, managed, and implemented press strategy on a local and national level; a strong public/media background in a large, complex organization; extensive experience in effectively leading and managing staff and external agencies; ability to work effectively with team members and executives under tight deadlines and in emergency situations; demonstrated experience in issues and crisis management; established relationships with local, national and trade press.
